It’s no secret that being the keynote speaker at your political party’s convention is something highly coveted by rising politicos.
Just look back at the Democratic National Convention eight years ago, when a relatively unknown senatorial candidate gave a rousing speech that grabbed national attention (he is now the President of the United States).
So, when the Dems recently announced that the young and upcoming mayor of San Antonio, Julian Castro, would be giving the keynote speech at this year’s convention everyone began prognosticating that he’s the Hispanic Obama.
