Kids have overtaken the White House kitchen — and, they brought kale with them.

First Lady Michelle Obama played host to the first-ever White House Kids’ State Dinner, where 54 children, representing all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and the three territories, were invited for a luncheon in the East Room of the White House.

The children, aged 8 to 12, submitted winning healthy recipes for Michelle’s “Let’s Move!” campaign. Several of the recipes were featured in the luncheon, including kale chips, cabbage sloppy joes, quinoa and baked zucchini fries.

Don’t get us wrong, we love our fried potatoes, but this menu was dee-lish.
