Katy Perry’s been doing the rounds for Team Obama.
She’s out, performing at rallies, lunching with FLOTUS, getting her Grandma out to vote early and receiving shoutouts from Prez Obama.
Katy is also saying that she will RT (retweet) people that vote — in a cute outfit — on Election Day.
“If you’re over 18, and you have a real cool outfit and you wear it on Tuesday, you tweet me and I’ll retweet it,” she told an Obama-Biden rally crowd in Milwaukee.
In case you weren’t aware, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is kind of a B.A.M.F.
The Republican politician was on “Fox & Friends” after Hurricane Sandy hit, and was asked whether Mitt Romney would be joining him in surveying the damage done to his state.
“I have no idea, nor am I the least bit concerned or interested,” he responded. “I’ve got a job to do here in New Jersey that’s much bigger than presidential politics.”
The Governor has also made waves by publicly commending President Obama on his quick response to the hurricane damage.
Sounds like Mitt might want to kiss any future photo ops in New Jersey good-bye — at least, for the near future.
Donald Trump: I’ll Give Barack Obama’s Charity Of Choice $5 Million If He Releases Records
The Twitterverse didn’t know what to expect when Donald Trump said he was going to make an announcement about President Barack Obama today.
Tweeps speculated that The Donald was going to say a number of things, including:
- White House divorce scandal;
- Barack Obama drug-dealer debacle; and
- POTUS Obama birther fiasco.
But, nobody was able to predict Mr. Trump’s actual announcement.
“If Barack Obama opens up and gives his college records and applications — and if he gives his passport applications and records — I will give to a charity of his choice … a check, immediately, for $5 million.”
The deadline? Halloween at 5 p.m.
The POTUS just upped his “cool” game.
In a move likely to appeal to the college students of America, President Obama has filmed his silliest video yet.
It’s a commercial starring himself, Kal Penn and John Cho … a.k.a. Harold and Kumar.
Kal — who’s spent the last couple of years working for the Obama administration, on and off — answers an unlikely phone call from the POTUS in which he’s asked whether he’s “on board” to host the DNC, and then proceeds to eat junk food and watch cartoons with his pal, John.
We’re not entirely sure what any of this has to do with the election, but we’re definitely on board!
Kids have overtaken the White House kitchen — and, they brought kale with them.
First Lady Michelle Obama played host to the first-ever White House Kids’ State Dinner, where 54 children, representing all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and the three territories, were invited for a luncheon in the East Room of the White House.
The children, aged 8 to 12, submitted winning healthy recipes for Michelle’s “Let’s Move!” campaign. Several of the recipes were featured in the luncheon, including kale chips, cabbage sloppy joes, quinoa and baked zucchini fries.
Don’t get us wrong, we love our fried potatoes, but this menu was dee-lish.
Barack and Michelle Obama are notorious for their P.D.A. — and, now, the notoriety has been commemorated on a plaque.
The new plaque adorns the spot where the POTUS first kissed his lovely First Lady, just outside a Chicago Baskin-Robbins.
The kiss happened in 1989 at an ice-cream shop (which is now a Subway). The First Couple will celebrate its 20th wedding anniversary this October.
And, while the quote on the plaque is pretty cute, we do have to wonder if President Obama knows that a gentleman never kisses and tells?
We’re not so naïve to think that politicians actually like their rivals.
Sure, they might sometimes angle their rhetoric as something like, “we just disagree on policy issues, but my opponent is a good person”, but we understand that they have to say that. Still, we like to think there’s some mutual respect between politicians.
But it looks like that might not be the case — in the 2012 POTUS election, at least.
According to a new e-book, President Barack Obama has probably the strongest contempt for Republican Nominee Mitt Romney than he’s had for ANYONE he’s faced-off against.
Well, the June fundraising numbers are in for the 2012 presidential election — and, boy, did thePresident Barack Obama’s campaign get its butt kicked by the Mitt Romney campaign.
But, we’re not saying that the Obama camp didn’t raise a lot of money.
According to filings, the Obama camp raised $71 million, which is pretty impressive. But, the Romney Victory Fund was able to raise $35 million more (for a total of $106 million).
