It’s tough to get a late-night bite in Washington, D.C. Almost everything closes around 9 p.m.
But, you’d think a restaurant would stay open — if your name was Drew Barrymore.
After her “Big Miracle” world premiere that benefited TAPS, which we attended, Drew, and her fiance, Will Kopelman decided it was time for dinner. So, Drew did what any self-respecting gal would do; she headed to one of Michelle Obama’s favorite spots: Shake Shack.
But, let’s be honest … who needs food when you have a delicious piece of arm candy, like Will?
Fame was in the air Wednesday evening as the world premiere for “Big Miracle” rocked our Nation’s Capital.
This “world premiere” was supposed to happen in Los Angeles, but the event, which benefitted T.A.P.S., became so huge in Washington, D.C., that the LAX soiree was cancelled.
And with big names, like Drew Barrymore and Vinessa Shaw, to first-timers showstoppers, like Ahmaogak Sweeney, the East Coast did not disappoint.
The movie is a true story (happened IRL in 1988) based around a small town in Alaska where “a news reporter (John Krasinski) recruits his ex-girlfriend (Drew) — a Greenpeace volunteer — on a campaign to save a family of gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle.”
We give it two thumbs up! There are even some President Ronald Reagan and Tom Brokaw cameos. Definitely recommend.
