How does Kobe Bryant stay fit?
The basketball star took over Michelle Obama’s blogging duties for the week (she’s guest blogging for iVillage), and gave a rundown of his top healthy habits.
Kobe’s Top 5 Healthy Habits
- Exercise
- Nutrition
- Help others
- Decompress
- Don’t forget to LIVE
Kids have overtaken the White House kitchen — and, they brought kale with them.
First Lady Michelle Obama played host to the first-ever White House Kids’ State Dinner, where 54 children, representing all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and the three territories, were invited for a luncheon in the East Room of the White House.
The children, aged 8 to 12, submitted winning healthy recipes for Michelle’s “Let’s Move!” campaign. Several of the recipes were featured in the luncheon, including kale chips, cabbage sloppy joes, quinoa and baked zucchini fries.
Don’t get us wrong, we love our fried potatoes, but this menu was dee-lish.
Barack and Michelle Obama are notorious for their P.D.A. — and, now, the notoriety has been commemorated on a plaque.
The new plaque adorns the spot where the POTUS first kissed his lovely First Lady, just outside a Chicago Baskin-Robbins.
The kiss happened in 1989 at an ice-cream shop (which is now a Subway). The First Couple will celebrate its 20th wedding anniversary this October.
And, while the quote on the plaque is pretty cute, we do have to wonder if President Obama knows that a gentleman never kisses and tells?
Did someone say … “party?”
Virgin America painted Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA) red, white and blue this week to celebrate its Washington, D.C., debut.
And, we were all over it like Michelle Obama on homegrown veggies.
The company launched its new, nonstop flight from its San Francisco International Airport (SFO) hub to DCA Tuesday.
The late-night boys are getting a little feminine class added to their line-ups this week.
First Lady Michelle Obama graced the couch of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” Monday (alongside Olympic gymnastics all-around champ Gabby Douglas), and Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi stops by Jimmy Fallon’s desk Friday on “Late Night.”
Michelle discussed the Olympic delegation, and Nancy will be sharing her thoughts on the upcoming election.
Here’s to hoping she also slow jams the news.
As soon as it’s finished, somewhere in the 1,776-foot-tall One World Trade Center will be a beam signed by President Barack Obama.
It reads: “We remember. We rebuild. We come back stronger!”
While some might argue that Kate Middleton’s greatest spotlight moment was getting to marry her Royal Prince Charming, we beg to differ.
It’s definitely got to be the fact that she just landed the top spot on Vanity Fair’s “Best-Dressed” list — for the third time!
The Duchess of Cambridge does have an amazing sense of style. (We happen to adore everything she wears.)
Sorry, Michelle Obama! We still love you — we just love Kate, too!
After fighting off ticket scalpers outside of the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., we made our way into the USA Men’s National Basketball Team’s game against Brazil.
This was the hottest event to hit the Verizon Center all year — and for a good reason.
Not only were all the ballers of the NBA in the house, but the USA’s foremost V.I.P.s, the first couple, made an unannounced appearance as well.
The President was accompanied by First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and former White House Aide Reggie Love. The First Couple was also caught on the famous Verizon Center “Kiss Cam” to the delight of everyone in attendance. We can’t be sure whether the President watching courtside helped Team USA to win the game, but it’s safe to say that his presence didn’t hurt.
