Katy Perry’s been doing the rounds for Team Obama.
She’s out, performing at rallies, lunching with FLOTUS, getting her Grandma out to vote early and receiving shoutouts from Prez Obama.
Katy is also saying that she will RT (retweet) people that vote — in a cute outfit — on Election Day.
“If you’re over 18, and you have a real cool outfit and you wear it on Tuesday, you tweet me and I’ll retweet it,” she told an Obama-Biden rally crowd in Milwaukee.
Kelly Clarkson previously announced her support for Ron Paul — and declared that she is “a Republican at heart.”
But, Mitt Romney shouldn’t count on receiving her vote this year.
Kelly recently said that, after watching the debates, she’ll be voting for President Obama.
“I can’t support Romney’s policies as I have a lot of gay friends and I don’t think it’s fair they can’t get married. I’m not a hardcore feminist but we can’t be going back to the ’50s,” she explained.
Sorry, GOP folks!
Nicki Minaj did not endorse Mitt Romney for POTUS.
Today, as Barack Obama was being interviewed by Power 95.3 in Orlando, Fla., he was asked whether he thought Nicki’s lyrics — in “Mercy” on Lil Wayne’s “Dedication 4” — were a Romney-Ryan endorsement.
“I’m not sure that’s actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, that – a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters,” Barack said.
In response, Nicki tweeted: “Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do…”.
Bam! And, just like that all the Republican rap fans in the USA sighed.
Stop the press!
Is Nicki Minaj — the gal that gave us other-worldly songs, like “Starships” (below) — voting for Mitt Romney?
It sure sounds like it if you’re listening to the glam rapper-singer on Lil Wayne’s “Dedication 4.”
In “Mercy,” Nicki raps: “I’m a Republican, voting for Mitt Romney. You lazy bitches is f***ing up the economy.” But, then, she starts talking about hanging with zombies in Miami.
Here’s a fun fact about Republican VP candidate Paul Ryan: apparently, he likes Rage Against The Machine.
He likes it so much, in fact, that he liked the political-rock band on his Facebook page.
Rage Founder and Guitarist Tom Morello quickly took to the Internet and wrote a blog post explaining his “amusement” at Paul’s love of the band’s music. In his words, the congressman is “the embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades.”
Ouch.
Being queen ain’t easy. The queen go hard for her fans.
Despite already having a strained voice from her Pink Friday tour, Nicki Minaj rocked the stage for the “Today Show” at Rockefeller Plaza Tuesday morning in one of her signature bodysuits.
She later tweeted the doctor’s diagnosis.
@NICKIMINAJ: “Doctor’s orders. Out for the count now…Another x-ray cmng up! Its a bruised Vocal Chord”
The Nickster also tweeted that Jordin Sparks was praying for her backstage since she’s coincidentally suffering the same thing. “We were so dramatic!” she said.
