Thursday evening, we rocked out during the VMAs, then we got some organic popcorn and sat down to watch Barack Obama accept the Democratic presidential nomination.
It was all DNC fun and games at Glittarazzi HQ until Co-Founder Ali Lewis yelled, “Barack is missing a tooth!”
Now, Ali knows this feeling well since she got a tooth knocked out last year. (You can sort of see it inthis miserable video.) But, despite the fact that we know Ali can spot a missing-tooth situation very well … we ignored her.
Then, all of a sudden, we were all like, “OMG! Barack really is missing a tooth or chipped a tooth or something!”
Other people are noticing it too. What do you think?
The POTUS just upped his “cool” game.
In a move likely to appeal to the college students of America, President Obama has filmed his silliest video yet.
It’s a commercial starring himself, Kal Penn and John Cho … a.k.a. Harold and Kumar.
Kal — who’s spent the last couple of years working for the Obama administration, on and off — answers an unlikely phone call from the POTUS in which he’s asked whether he’s “on board” to host the DNC, and then proceeds to eat junk food and watch cartoons with his pal, John.
We’re not entirely sure what any of this has to do with the election, but we’re definitely on board!
People On The Internet Want Betty White To Speak At The DNC
You see, Betty was one of the legions of celebrity Barack-Obama supports back in 2008, and she remains a vocal supporter of the POTUS heading into the 2012 election.
And, after the whole Clint Eastwood cameo at the Republican National Convention (with his empty chair/imaginary Obama sidekick), some people think the 90-year-old actress should address the Dems.
There’s even an online petition!
We hope this will actually impress Gymnast McKayla Maroney!
The White House will host a reception — honoring American Olympic athletes — next month.
Some may be wondering why it took so long after the close of the games for the White House to put something together. The answer: the reception will also honor Paralympic athletes, whose games kicked off the same day as the announcement.
The Twittersphere was abuzz about a photo that the Obama team tweeted in response to Clint’s speech. It featured Barack in his chair and said, “This seat’s taken.” The same photo also went viral on Facebook when the Obama team posted it with the same text (this time, placed upon it).
Did the POTUS just tell Clint to go ahead and make his day … in a very funny way?
Yeah, we think he did.
It doesn’t matter how much you may love President Obama; we’re sure you’re tired of the flood of emails his campaign has been sending out.
You’ve more than likely accidentally clicked on one of them, confused into thinking a friend sent the email (thanks to the highly personal subject lines).

We’re not sure if you know this, but the national conventions for both political parties are coming up pretty soon — which are big events for politicos across the country … and strippers.
Yeah, that’s right. We said “strippers.”
Strip clubs in both Charlotte, N.C., where the Democrats are hosted their convention the week of Sept. 3, and Tampa, Fla., where the Republicans are hosting their convention during the week of Aug. 27, are gearing up for an uptick in business.
Actually, this really isn’t breaking news. A study by Baylor University found a surge in Craigslist sex-service ads in the surrounding areas during the 2008 conventions.
We’re sure it has more to do with what people do when they’re traveling away from home than politics, but still … eww.
Let’s face it.
Nobody knows how to cater to the young, passionate and tech-dependent masses like Barack Obama. And, now that he’s in full-on campaign mode, Barack is back to wooing the youth vote.
The president’s campaign announced Thursday that it would accept donations via text message. Supporters can donate up to $50 by texting “GIVE” to 62262.
(Thank goodness — no more excruciating phone calls or online forms!)
