Historical events are upon us!

For the first time ever, the Democratic National Convention will include a pro-gay marriage stance in its platform.

The decision to make the announcement gained traction after President Obama announced that he had changed his views and decided that homosexual couples should be allowed to marry.

The official language for the included stance will be approved on Aug. 10 — and, we’re excited to see it!

After fighting off ticket scalpers outside of the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., we made our way into the USA Men’s National Basketball Team’s game against Brazil.This was the hottest event to hit the Verizon Center all year — and for a good reason.Not only were all the ballers of the NBA in the house, but the USA’s foremost V.I.P.s, the first couple, made an unannounced appearance as well.  The President was accompanied by First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and former White House Aide Reggie Love. The First Couple was also caught on the famous Verizon Center “Kiss Cam” to the delight of everyone in attendance. We can’t be sure whether the President watching courtside helped Team USA to win the game, but it’s safe to say that his presence didn’t hurt.
